Religion… Missing the Spiritual Point
“I and my Father are one” (John 10:30).
a place of Universal Oneness of God. Michael A. Singer, author of The Untethered Soul, writes that most religions express this sentiment and that there was no major differentiation within the Universal Oneness of God among them. In paraphrasing; our individual spirit is like a drop of water in the universal ocean of God/Spirit. Once connected it’s realized that we are one and the same, no difference.
From the earthly plane, getting there isn’t easy, as we have so much interpretive social, cultural, and political, baggage to sort through.
Manipulation through judgment, cultural and religious politics is not the correct path. God doesn’t promote faith through hate, punishment, guilt or fear!
“He (she) that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.” Metaphorically, religions many times inadvertently, and sometimes advertently, cast stones by means of censorious and derisive religious tenets…
The spiritual way is about finding “God”! A place of pure benevolence, without prejudice, or judgement. If on this path, happiness will follow.
